Digital Media is changing the world!
DM Series is dedicated to facilitate a deep dive into the rise of Digital Media Economy in India and beyond
The topic for discussion -- Transformation in Digital Media Landscape: It's a new world, there are new consumer and we need new innovative formats and startups
The traditional media industry has been under turmoil since the rise of digital media platforms, which impacted significantly upon many aspects of the media industry of old. These changes led to much unrest in the media sector including TV and radio broadcasting, newspaper publishers, film, music and video industries. Newer Digital platforms like Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, Snapchat, and Tinder have caught the imagination of millennials while Digital media companies like Google, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter have disrupted the consumer behavior at a massive scale.
Digital. Social. Mobile. The way we work, communicate and play has changed so maybe the values, norms and the business rules we have adhered to so far no longer apply or need to be tweaked in the very least.
DM-Series: This winter, GSF presents a series of workshops/panels/talks on various different aspects of the digital media economy. Some of these aspects are the meteoricrise of mobile platforms, alternate monetization Strategies, and innovative &new business models. Over the next three months, we will have founders and thought leaders from different streams of Digital Media Economy share their insights and learning with the startup ecosystem over relaxed fun-filled evenings designed to create discussion and exchange of ideas.
The inaugural DM-series is slated for December 04. This is an afternoon dedicated to facilitate a deep dive into the rise of Digital Media Economy in India and beyond.
